We developed and applied the HMIG Model in connection with a sustainable strategy and business development process of the first three companies bought by HMIG in 2001 - Scanbur A/S Karlslunde and B&K Universal AB Stockholm and B&K Universal AS Oslo.
From 2008 and the years ahead we developed, organized and operated the three companies in accordance with the HMIG model so successfully that the corporate value in just six years grew more than tenfold.
Today HMIG owns a minority stake in the group following a highly successful exit in 2014.
Based on the mission and vision together with the daily management we mark out a detailed strategic plan for the company with the aim to:
Identifying new opportunities
Generating even better returns
Continuing sustainable growth and development
To obtain this, we focus on:
The overall ambitions of the company => identifying the ultimate results we want to achieve in the company
Who does the company exist for => identifying the customer base
What do we offer to our customers => identifying the company’s core business and value proposition
How do we operate the company => identifying the structure, processes, capabilities and values
We summarise this in our HMIG Model for sustainable strategy and business development:
The HMIG Model helps us and the daily management to organize the company around its primary value proposition to its customers, so that all employees in the company can contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s core business.
